English: At left, the elevation of a sofa divided into three sections, the arm shown at the left. At right, the left end of the sofa shown in profile. The sections are bordered below by the legs, at the back by tripods. Above the upholstery is a frieze, divided in panels with acanthus scrolls fastened by a wreath, and pilaster strips, above the tripods and the arms, with acanthus leaves. The arms are supported by half-figures of animals with acanthus scrolls. Their left legs lie upon a cup. Colored base strip scale at bottom. Verso: sketches referring to frames of looking glasses and mouldings with inscribed captions. |
