Description |
English: Vertical rectangle. The front of the candlestick base is decorated with a couple of sea deities and a child in a shell carriage. Above, a festoon supported by satyr masks in front of an entablature. The shaft is formed by a girl, standing upon a base and supporting two branches. Either has below a branch ending in one socket. The main branches cross each other and divide then into three branches, each with a socket that supports a candle. A heart form is on top of the crossing point, supporting one socket. Burning candles are in the sockets. |
