English: Vertical rectangle. Design for a candlestick intended to be executed in gilded and green bronze, and white and green marble. At bottom, the lower part of a column supported by three lion feet forms the base. Upon it stands a base with a calyx, out of which spring four column shafts growing in width and bound together by two bands. On their top are springing from masks four branches with burning candles. Above, a bowl with flowers and a column in the center, with ivy, and a socket with a burning candle. Scale at bottom. |
