English: Vertical rectangle. Design for a candlestick, the base composed of a short column with a circular band supported by knobs. On top of the column stands a caryatid with a basket of flowers upon her head; emerging from the basket in the center is a flower cup of acanthus. The acanthus supports the bowl of the lamp above, which ends in a socket at center and four branches at left and right, each holding a burning candle. Scale below. |
