From Website:Through the dust, an LVT comes ashore raising up more in its wake. The foxholes along the beach, covered by shelter halves or even ponchos, offer the only home for these men for days to come. Transports can be seen through the shell-torn trees. African Americans were instrumental in the hard job of moving supplies from ship to shore.
