| Description |
English: Outcrop of Miocene conglomerates in the cut bank of the Bystrytsya Solotvynska river, northwest of the village of Drahomyrchany, Carpathian foreland basin, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, western Ukraine. The pebbles in the conglomerate largely consist of laminated sandstone. They are derived from the sandstone beds within the flysch successions that form the bedrock in the Outer Carpathians further to the southwest. These pebbles weather out of the scarp and form the river bed and the point bars at the opposite bank of the river because they are too large and heavy to be transported by the river.
Deutsch: Anstehende Konglomerate des Miozäns im Prallhang der Bystryzja Solotwynska nordwestlich des Dorfes Drahomyrtschany, Karpaten-Vorlandbecken, Oblast Iwano-Frankiwsk, West-Ukraine. Die Gerölle im Konglomerat bestehen überwiegend aus laminierten Sandsteinen, die den Flyschabfolgen entstammen, die die Berge der Äußeren Karpaten weiter im Südwesten aufbauen. Diese Gerölle wittern aus dem Prallhang heraus und bilden das Flussbett und den Gleithang am gegenüberliegenden Ufer des Flusses, denn sie sind zu groß und zu schwer um vom Fluss mitgeführt werden zu können. |
