| Description |
Dr. Robert Hohf House in Kenilworth (1957). Designed by Keck & Keck, it is the only International Style residence in Kenilworth. The Kecks received a Certificate of Merit in Residental Design from the AIA for the house in 1961. Hohf was the head of vascular surgery at Evanston Hospital, who died in 1993. The Blood Flow Laboratory int he hospital was dedicated to him after his retirement in 1978. He was branch president of the American Medical Association in 1968 and was president of the Chicago and Midwest Surgical Societies. He was a member of the board of trustees at Yankton College in his South Dakota hometown. His wife Nydia still lives in the house. The Hohfs were the neighbors of Valerie Percy, whose 1966 murder is still unsolved. |
