Description Dr. Jim Yong Kim, U.S. Nominee for the World Bank Presidency, met on March 31, 2012 with Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan in Shaoxing, China. Dr. Kim and Vice Premier Wang discussed how the World Bank can promote the rapid development and poverty alleviation achieved by China and South Korea throughout the developing world. Dr. Kim also reiterated his belief in the importance of a strong voice for emerging economies in the World Bank. China is the second stop on Dr. Kim's global listening tour, as he solicits priorities and ideas for the future of the World Bank from around the world.
