[edit]DescriptionDr. Amber Straughn Talks to NASA Social Attendees from Inside Cleanroom (14213712117).jpg |
Dr. Amber Straughn and Mike McClare presented a unique view of James Webb Space Telescope hardware from inside the cleanroom. Using a video camera, they gave the NASA Social attendees a chance to see inside. They also answered questions about the missions. Visible inside the cleanroom were an installation of microshutters into the NIRSpec engineering design unit instrument, as well as the two test flight spare primary mirrors, and the cans that hold the flight mirrors. A NASA Social took place at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, Md on June 4, 2014 to share information and give the public an upclose view of the James Webb Space Telescope.
