| Description | Vintage press photo. This appears to be taken from the smokestack of the steam plant in Pioneer Square. The steam plant was completed in 1902 and the original smokestack would have towered over every other building in the vicinity. The shadows on the buildings at the bottom of the picture are probably of the steam plant still under construction. |
