Description
English: Part of Royal Victoria Place, High Street, Dover, Kent, England, seen from the southwest. Built early in the 19th century as Brook House. Taken over by the Dover Dispensary in 1849. The inscription reads "INSTITUTED AT THE GENERAL THANKSGIVING OF MDCCCXLIX" (1849). The thanksgiving refers to Dover having escaped a cholera epidemic.
