Description
English: A U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider (BuNo 134563) of Attack Squadron 152 (VA-152) "Friendlies" after a wheels-up emergency landing at Da Nang, South Vietnam, in December 1965. VA-152 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 16 (CVW-16) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34) for a deployment to Vietnam from 5 April to 16 December 1965. The foam visible was used to ensure a relatively smooth wheels-up landing. 134563 was repaired and was later written off at Naval Air Station Miramar, California (USA), on 11 March 1969.
