Description
English: A hydraulic bomb loader raises a 500 lb (227 kg) bomb into position under the wing of a U.S. Air Force Douglas A-1E Skyraider (s/n 52-132649) of the 1st Air Commando Squadron, circa in 1966. This aircraft is the one Maj Bernard F. Fisher later used to make the daring rescue of Lt.Col. Dafford W. Myers at A Shau on 10 March 1966 for which Maj. Fisher received the U.S. Medal of Honor.
