Summary
[edit]DescriptionDoug's headers!.jpg |
English: This is a pair of Doug Thorley's Tri-Ys that I got to replace the Hedman headers I installed back in the nineties.
I had originally wanted to get the Tri-Ys for their famous low-end torque, but when I called Thorley Headers back in the day to ask about my application, they said they didn't make any for the 1964-72 Chevelle, which I thought was pretty unbelievable. So I got the Hedmans instead. In fact what happened was Doug Thorley went through a divorce that saw him losing his original company. He started a new company, Doug's Headers, in 1996. i didn't know about the new company, and I guess the old one was specializing in modern applications at that point. Doug Thorley Headers has since been acquired by the Jardine Products division of Summit Industries, while Doug's Headers was purchased by Pertronix. |
