Description
English: An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy two-piece shoe/knee buckle with a drilled frame and separately bar dating to c.AD 1660 - 1720. It has D shaped loops with concave bifid sides with three moulded bifid knops around the spindle holes. The central bar is made of iron and corroded. The underside is undecorated and retains some iron staining on one side. The pin is missing.

 A similar buckle is SWYOR-BBAF89, and there are also similar buckles in Whitehead (2003), p 99, no. 612 & 622.
