Description
English: Double Fairlie loco No.12 David Lloyd George attacks the gradient of the deviation spiral at Dduallt. Ffestiniog Railway. The deviation spiral was begun in 1965 to lift the railway some 35', high enough to pass behind Ffestiniog Power Station, two miles further up the line. The spiral "first sod" was cut on 2nd January 1965.
