Double-oval buckle frame
Description
English: An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval to post-medieval date. Double-oval buckle frame, probably dating from the mid 14th to mid 17th century AD. Each side of the frame is sub-rectangular, with slightly convex outer edges and an indentation at the central point of both horizontal sides. The upper surface is domed and has a bevelled inner edge, whilst the underside is flat. There is a central axis bar and the pin is missing. The object measures 23.4mm long by 20.3mm high and 2.3mm thick. It weighs 2.12g.
