English: This is from the same patient as illustrated in File:Polar diagram of vectors for SimK, refraction, and ORA.jpg In this double-angle vector diagram, the angles from the polar diagram (Figure 5A) have been doubled to convert to Cartesian coordinates, but the magnitudes (length) of the vectors remains the same. This view better shows how ORA is the vectorial difference between refractive and corneal astigmatism. ;Other information:
This figure was first used in the Wikipedia entry for the Alpins method of astigmatism analysis. |
