Description
Deutsch: Denkmalgeschützte ehemalige Dorfschmiede in Mittweide, einem Ortsteil der Gemeinde Tauche im Landkreis Oder-Spree in Brandenburg. Eingeschossiger massiver Bau aus Feldstein-Ziegel-Mischmauerwerk, datiert auf 1801/1900. Das zweiflügelige Holztor ist senkrecht verbrettert, die Eisenfenster sind mit Gittersprossen versehen. Das Satteldach hat eine neuere Biberschwanz-Doppeldeckung. Die Schmiede steht auf einem kleinen Platz im Eck Lübbener Straße (B 87)/Alte Dorfstraße nordwestlich vor der Dorfkirche. Seit sieben Generationen im Besitz der Familie Tornow, ist die alte Dorfschmiede heute geschlossen.
English: Listed former forge in Mittweide, a part of the municipality Tauche in the District Oder-Spree, Brandenburg, Germany. The forge is dated to 1801/1900.
