Description
English: Dora Ohlfsen-Bagge, an Australian artist. The photograph was published in 1912 in "Pages for Everywoman: Miss Dora Ohlfsen", The Lone Hand, Vol. 12, No. 68, 2 December 1912, p. 131.
Date The cardboard frame is signed 1908 in this version: "With best wishes for the New Year from Dora. Rome, 22 November 1908". In this version, it says "Hotel Mansion, Bayswater Rd [Sydney]", in blue pencil on the back of the photograph (the State Library of New South Wales says "on the verso"), and on the front of the mount, it says "M. Shadwell Clerke", and "Dora Ohlfsen". It also says "Please return" in blue pencil.

Author M. Shadwell Clerke (1868–1923), 117 Ebury Street, London; see the stamp in this version. Ohlfsen-Bagge visited London in 1908 when she exhibited a medal, "The Awakening of Australian Art", at the Franco-British Exhibition, which was held from 14 May to 31 October that year.
