Description
Nederlands: Doornik — (België - Provincie Henegouwen) — Overblijfselen van de Kerk van de Paters Kruisherenestiges vlakbij de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal op wat nu Place Paul-Émile Janson is.
De "Groep der Blinden" van Guillaume Charlier (1908) staat in het midden van het kader van de foto. Aan de achterzijde van het bronzen beeld bevinden zich drie woningen met op de begane grond bedrijven. Rechts van deze huizen en aan het einde van de straat, na een auto, zie je de grote deuren van de slagerij* in de rue des Chapeliers; het gebouw werd later gesloopt om plaats te maken voor een "nieuw" postkantoor.
Français : Tournai (Belgique -Province de Hainaut) — Vestiges de l'église des Pères Croisiers à proximité de la cathédrale Notre-Dame sur l'actuelle place Paul-Émile Janson.
Le "Groupe des Aveugles" de Guillaume Charlier (1908) est au centre de la photo. À l'arrière de la statue de bronze se trouvent trois maisons avec des commerces au rez-de-chaussée. A droite de ces maisons et au bout de la rue, après la voiture, on peut apercevoir les grandes portes de la boucherie* de la rue des Chapeliers ; le bâtiment a ensuite été démoli pour faire place à un «nouveau» bureau de poste.
