Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Door, No 10 Cathedral Close, Exeter. The oak door of 727014, described by Cherry & Pevsner as a "splendid studded door, with faceted imitation-rustication and shell lunettes in high relief". It presumably dates from the C17 when this front was remodelled. There are heads - three lions (a fourth on the left is missing) and two women. Behind is an attractive courtyard. See https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1333331 for architectural details.
