The mayoral collar of Duncan Anderson, Civic Mayor of Doncaster May 2023 to May 2024. Photographed for Wikimedia Commons with his permission, in the Mansion House, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Note: The chain that he is wearing is dated 23 September 1772, and was sold to Doncaster by retailer Robert Makepeace, of Lincoln's Inn Fields, London. The goldsmith is unknown. The original medal (as the medallion was termed at the time) is now in the archives of Cusworth Hall Museum, Doncaster. In the picture, the mayor is wearing a modern medallion which has the current coat of arms of Doncaster. |
