Description October 10, 2018 (Towson, MD) - County Executive Don Mohler met with members of the Maryland Chapter of the National Federation for the Blind (NFB) in observance of National White Cane Safety Day, which is October 15, 2018. The purpose of White Cane Safety Day is to make the public aware of the white cane as a symbol of independence and freedom for the blind, and to promote public awareness of the blind as equal and productive citizens.
