Copper alloy

Brooch fragment. Probably from a dolphin or Colchester Derivative brooch. A cast D section bow tapers from the stub of tubular wings to the stub of a catch plate. Suggested date: Early Roman, 60-100.

Length: 37.5mm, Width: 11mm, Thickness (crest of bow): 4.3mm, Weight: 4.96gms.
