Dolphin brooch
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy dolphin brooch. The brooch is highly decorated and has been silvered. The wings are semi-cylindrical in section with fully rounded pierced terminals. The wing face terminals are decorated with a single vertical groove. The bow is D-shaped in section, comma shaped in profile and tapers to a flat based moulded foot. The face of the bow is decorated with a central rib with a moulded rope pattern to either side. The catchplate is intact. The pin is missing.
