Dolphin Brooch
Description
English: A cast, incomplete copper alloy Roman Dolphin brooch with hinge mechanism of Hull’s type 94B (Hattat, R. 1985). The wings of the brooch are tubular and contain the remains of an iron axis bar. The pin does not survive. The broken high arched bow has horizontal grooves running down the bow. The catch plate is missing. The surviving length if the brooch is 18.0mm and the width is 22.1mm.
