Title
Dolphin Brooch
Description
English: A copper alloy Roman dolphin brooch dating from c. AD 75-175.

The brooch is mostly intact besides the majority of the pin, which is missing. The cylindrical wings 25.67 mm wide. They have open ends which show the pin inside where a piece has broken off. The bow has the usual hump at the top, and then gradually flattens and narrows as it curves towards the foot, which is plain. The pin has broken, and the catchplate is incomplete.
