Italiano: Le Dolomiti Lucane sono il rilievo montuoso che nel cuore della Basilicata caratterizza il paesaggio con spettacolari guglie e sagome che hanno suggerito nomi fantasiosi come l’aquila reale, l’incudine, la grande madre, la civetta.
A ridosso delle vette delle Dolomiti Lucane vi sono i Comuni di Castelmezzano e Pietrapertosa posti rispettivamente a 870 e a 1.090 metri sul livello del mare. Il gruppo di montagne più elevato è quello della Costa di S. Martino chiamato Piccole Dolomiti in quanto ricorda le caratteristiche delle famose Pule Trentine. Altrettanto importanti sono i picchi delle Murge di Castelmezzano e le guglie di Monte Carrozze. Negli anfratti più inaccessibili, fanno il loro nido splendidi esemplari di cicogna nera, nibbio reale, gheppio, falco pellegrino. Benchè le guglie risultano quasi prive di vegetazione, si trovano interessanti specie di piante quali la valeriana rossa, la lunaria annua, l’onosma lucana. |
