English: Dolgoch Youth Hostel, Tywi Valley, Ceredigion Hostel closed until 17th April - new roof being built.
Across the valley the farm buildings of Nantyrhwch are in Powys, as the county border runs along the middle of the Afon Tywi. A bridleway passes to the left of the car, then turns right along the river side of the hostel, through a gate towards Llyn Brianne. This bridleway is not a recommended walk if you like dry feet, not falling over, and not being consumed by flies or midges (in season). If you do go, a walking stick will help! The hostel is run by the Elenydd Wilderness Hostels trust. http://www.elenydd-hostels.co.uk/ Dolgoch was sold to the YHA by Huw Jones, the last farmer to live there, in 1967.
