Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Columnar dolerite at Pen Anglas The tip of Pen Anglas shows perhaps the best display of a cross section of columnar basalt in dolerite in the UK, much better formed than the Giant's causeway in my opinion. Not shown is that this exposure is undercut and drops into the sea. The structure at the top right is the OS trig point.
