Summary
[edit]DescriptionDogwood bushes with red twigs and yellow lichen - geograph.org.uk - 1173175.jpg |
English: Dogwood bushes with red twigs and yellow lichen. These bushes are beside the Waterperry road where it was diverted to cross the M40 over a bridge, so they were probably planted when the bridge was built. There are bushes both sides of the road, some are hazel with catkins, but most are like this. I think from the red twigs that they are a form of Dogwood.
[Addition 1st May 2009] I visited this place today. Leaves are full out and flowers just forming - certainly dogwood. See 1283090 for photo with leaves. |
