e Jaune et il a fallu que les mineurs portassent eux-mêmes lesfournitures, léquipement etc, le terrain étant trop rude et trop à pic pourles chevaux. La confection, dun bon chemin est praticable bien quedispendieuse; la distance serait denviron 7 milles. Il y a du bois enabondance et leau peut être obtenue dans le voisinage immédiat de tous les claims,et comme nous lavons dit, la crique au Sable pourrait fournir une force hydrau-lique suffisante pour opérer un compresseur et dautres machines. Messrs. de Witt et Winter ont trois claims, aussi sur la rivière au Canotlaquelle sélève au sud de la montagne de Mica et coule au sud-est pour rejoindrela rivière Colombie, à Big-Bend; ces claims furent jalonnés, en 1898, mais nefurent jamais développés. Sur la rivière McLennan, qui prend sa source au lac Cranberry et coule aunord pour rejoindre la rivière Fraser, près de la cache de la Tête Jaune, Messrs.
