Description
Deutsch: Havarie der DO X 1929 auf dem Passauer Kachletstausee. Am 9.5.1933 sollte die DO X 1929, berühmt für ihren "zweijährigen Weltflug", auf dem Stausee des Passauer Kachletkraftwerks landen, um eine neuerliche Rundreise anzutreten. Der Flugkapitän Horst Merz setzte jedoch bei der Landung zu steil an und das Leitwerk brach ab. Diese Panne wurde allerdings der Öffentlichkeit verschwiegen. Das Bild wurde aus Zufall geschossen. Die Havarie bedeutete das Ende der Karriere als Passagierflugboot der DO X, von denen es ohnehin nur drei gegeben hatte.
