[edit]DescriptionDmitri Konash with Intel Core Sandy Bridge Wafer.jpg |
English: PC sales could grow by 20% from 2011 to 2012, says Dmitri Konash, general manager of Intel Russia. A steady 4% GDP each of those years, a growing middle class with more purchasing power and taste for technology is helping Russia to become the biggest PC market in Europe, surpassing Germany.
“It will be China, U.S., Brazil and Russia as the world’s top four PC markets by the end of 2012,” said Konash. That’s a dramatic change since 2010, when the biggest PC markets were the U.S. followed by China, Germany and Japan. Intel Free Press story: Russia's Middle Class Drives Thriving PC Market.
