Summary
[edit]DescriptionDisused sheepfold - geograph.org.uk - 1213568.jpg |
English: Disused sheepfold. The sheepfold is located beside a footpath, and is divided into two parts by an internal wall. When first recorded, c.1860, on OS maps, it was already noted as having fallen into disuse.
In the upper right corner of the image, part of the Lang Craigs, the escarpment of the Kilpatrick Hills, can be seen. A smaller hill is visible on the skyline, directly behind the sheepfold (compare 1213685); it is called Roundwood Hill, and has an ancient enclosure on top, within which is a cup-marked boulder: 1210994. |
