| Description |
English: Disused reservoir, Campion Hills. The undergrowth on the bank conceals a 19th century covered reservoir. Originally filtered river water was pumped up here, the highest ground in the old Leamington Borough close to the town, for distribution to customers. By the late 1870s this was being supplanted by cleaner water from a municipal borehole. Now the town is once again supplied with river water treated at a modern plant on the Campion Hills: 159652 |
