English: Disused railway bridge & WW2 pillbox in Usk Many motorists pass under the disused railway bridge on the old Abergavenny road in Usk without spotting the pillbox to the left of the bridge. This is a type 22 pillbox of brick construction and hexagonal in shape. The field of fire from the embrasure visible in this shot covers an attacker approaching from the direction of the town centre and the nearby road bridge across the river Usk. |
