English: Disused railway at Fenit The railway between Tralee and Fenit opened in 1887 and closed to passengers in 1934 although goods services continued (subject to interruption in 1944/45, during The Emergency, due to fuel shortages) until 1973 when all traffic except the seasonal beet trains ended. This was Fenit station. The line continued beyond it to Fenit Pier. See also Q7215 : Fenit railway station. |
