[edit]DescriptionDisused Mine Shaft at NY 8069 2626. Mickle Fell's Northern Slope - geograph.org.uk - 1138051.jpg |
English: Disused Mine Shaft at NY 8069 2626. Mickle Fell's Northern Slope This disused Mine Shaft was GPS'd at NY 8069 2626. Consisting of a fenced-around water-filled inverse-conical hole in the ground about 2 metres deep, this old mine shaft lies abandoned on Mickle Fell's Northern Slope. There is other evidence of mining in the immediate and wider areas. In the background can be seen the pathless higher slopes of Mickle Fell. This is inside the MOD's Warcop Artillery Range danger area. Photo taken on 27 December 2008 at 09:12 - G4YSS. |
