Description
English: Disused Lime Kiln Julianstown This was a kiln used to convert limestone into lime. Limestone was quarried nearby (see to right of picture) and loaded into the kiln, the entrance was sealed and a fire lit in the kiln. This kiln was built in the 19th century was last used during WWII
