English: The Los Angeles District returned to the City of Torrance to participate in its 57th Annual Armed Forces Day Celebration here May 21. Bobber the Water Safety Dog greeted children along the parade route, posed for photos and delivered his message to be safe in and around water and to follow his water safety rules: learn to swim well; don’t swim in water over your head; always have an adult with you; and wear a life jacket.
The District's Emergency Command and Control Vehicle, operated by Alex Watt, made its appearance and was led by the District's deputy commander, Lt. Col. Dennis Sugrue, district volunteers and their families. The group carried the District's banner, followed by the District's safety office and Bobber the Water Safety Dog, and the ECCV along the two-mile parade route.
