English: Private First Class Jon Lee, a water purification specialist with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, and a native of Caruthersville, Miss., explains about a water purification system to distinguished visitors from Uruguay during a tour of the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 13, 2014. During the tour, the visitors saw several static displays showcasing the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities SPMAGTF-South brings to the ship. The tour was followed by a leadership conference which discussed the importance of partnership and cooperation between the U.S. Naval forces and the Nation of Uruguay. SPMAGTF-South is embarked aboard America on her maiden transit dubbed, “America Visits the Americas.” The transit aims to demonstrate the capabilities the Navy-Marine Corps team brings to our nation and partners.
