| Description |
English: Dismantled Railway The original branch line to New Romney constructed in 1881. Initially trains called at Lydd then Dungeness then had to reverse back to Lydd before heading off to New Romney. A new loop further south was opened in 1937 to avoid this and cater for the projected growth of the new resorts of Lydd on Sea and Greatstone on Sea and this part of the track was lifted. |
