TUBERCULAR MENINGITIS. 781 Tuberculous nodules varying in size from a small pea to a walnut arefrequently seen associated with meningitis in older children, but not sooften in infants. These nodules may be connected with the meninges, orthey may be situated within the brain substance, usually in the cerebellum.The larger ones are classed as brain tumors. Inflammatory products arerarely found in the spinal canal. Course.—The course of tubercular meningitis is from three to tendays, although the symptoms may last from four to eight weeks, or evenlonger. Child B. W., 5 years old. Father a physician and healthy. Mother healthy.Had just returned from the country in apparent good health. Was sent to schooland seemed bright mentally and physically. Was a well-nourished child.
