English: A child walks through rubble of a destroyed home that is being rebuilt by the combined efforts of villagers, Pakistani soldiers and U.S. sailors at Miani Bandi near Muzaffarabad, Pakistan, Dec. 3, 2005. U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74 are building structures for displaced earthquake survivors at Miani Bandi. The United States military is participating in humanitarian assistance operations in support of Pakistani-led relief efforts to bring aid to victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the region Oct. 8, 2005. |
