Description
English: Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, lift boxes of Meals, Ready to Eat onto a container delivery system as part of a tour for diplomats, military leaders and distinguished guests from Trinidad and Tobago aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), July 25, 2014. The container delivery system was one of several static displays showcasing the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities that Marines and Sailors bring to the ship and our partner-nations in the region. Ships like America are what provide the Navy-Marine Corps team the ability to be the right force, in the right place at the right time. America is currently transiting around South America on her maiden transit, “America Visits the Americas,” and is scheduled to be commission Oct. 11 in San Francisco. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
