Deutsch: Vorderseite: AYTOK KAIC - M AYP ANTΩNΕINOC CEB. Drapierte Büste des Caracalla mit Lorbeerkranz in der Brustansicht nach r. Vor seinem Gesicht im r. F. zwei ovale Gegenstempel, der obere mit einem Blitzbündel, der untere mit einem sitzenden Adler.
Rückseite: AΔ[P ΔIOKAI]CAP-EΩN. Athena fährt in einem Viergespann (quadriga) nach l., in der r. Hand hält sie einen Schild mit Schlangen (aegis). Kommentar: Die Stadt Diokaisareia ist eine Gründung aus der Zeit des Kaisers Tiberius in direkter Nähe zum prominenten Zeus-Heiligtum in Olba. - Die Motive der Gegenstempel auf der Vorderseite - Adler und Blitzbündel - sind Attribute des Zeus und werden auf anderen Münzen der Stadt Diokaisareia auch als Hauptmotiv verwendet. Howgego (1985) geht davon aus, dass die Münzen vor 211 n. Chr. noch in der Regierungszeit des Septimius Severus geprägt worden seien. Hierfür spricht, dass die Gegenstempel auch auf Münzen des Geta als Caesar (seit 197 n. Chr.) auftauchen und das Bildnis des Caracalla noch jugendlich ist. Literatur: SNG Aulock Nr. 5544; G. M.
