Summary
[edit]DescriptionDinnington & Laughton station site geograph-3412708-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English: Site of Dinnington & Laughton station, 1993. View southward, towards Shireoaks: ex-South Yorkshire Joint Line, one of the several lines built for traffic from the many collieries to avoid the bottleneck at Doncaster. This one was operated jointly by the GC, GN, L&Y, Midland and NE Railways (!) and had a passenger service until 2/12/29, but was still open for freight in 1993 - probably until 2011. [?] |
