Bon Silene and Etoile de Lyon Roses The Roses ordered from you several days ago arrived in fine shape. They were as fresh as if just taken up, such fine, large, healthy bushes, and we were delighted with the pres- ents you sent us. ^A/^ish you could see how they have grown right off, not even wilting or shedding a leaf. With your way of packing and prepaying the express, every one has a fine nursery at their very door. M. M. HANKINS. Little Rock, Arkansas, March 24, 1911. A Grand Old Rose No new variety has superseded this Rose since its introduction in 183 9. The color is deep rose, changing to pale light rose. This variety cannot be surpassed j^^ ' for bouquets and decorative purposes. i^^ '-, In the open ground it grows to perfec- tion, producing large crops of beautiful flowers from early spring until late autumn. One of the favorites of the old-time gardens. ALBERT STOPFORD. It is superb, like Bon Silene, a vigorous and free bloomer, producing beautiful flowers in great profusion. The color is a very dark crimson-rose. ALLIANCE FRANCO-RUSSE. A sturdy grower and free bloomer, with large, rich, yellow flowers of good substance. ANNA OLIVER. A superb free-blooming Rose. One of the best Roses for general culti- vation, succeeding in almost any situation. The flowers are double, extra- large, and of splendid substance; color creamy blush, shaded with deep carmine and edged with silver-rose; very fragrant. SOUV. DE AUG. METRAL. A strong and vigorous grower, producing a profusion of pure, deep red, large, full flowers, well formed and of good substance. Very fragrant. ^ Etoile de Lyon It is of vigorous, sturdy growth, and seems able to resist both heat and cold equally well. It blooms freely, producing beautifully formed flowers of a rich, golden yellow. A great favorite everywhere. ^ Also in three- year-old-plants, 75 cts. each. 1 C q\c Each ^°'^ ^^^ Roses on this page, 50 cts. for any 4; $1 for any 9; larger size 20 cts. each, 3 for 50 cts., * postpaid ; two-year-old plants, 35 cts. each.
